Super Bowl LI Ads

So now that the big game is finally over and I have had some time to digest all of the wings, Lawson’s Finest, and snacks that have entered my body, let’s talk about what really matters, the commercials. If any of the trailers had extended cuts, that’s what will be linked here.

Let’s start with the Guardian’s of the Galaxy Vol. 2 trailer. I am a little apprehensive every time a new trailer releases because I have such high hopes for this movie, especially since the first one was so incredible. I am fearful that it may not live up to my blown out of proportion expectations, but this trailer does not disappoint.

Up next, Ghost In The Shell due out in theaters on March 31, 2017. Ignore all of the backlash this movie has been getting for the casting, at least for the purpose of this article, and enjoy ScarJo kicking some ass as The Major.

Captain Jack Sparrow is back in Pirate’s of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. I enjoyed the first three, so if this one has the same whimsy and the same memorable performance from Johnny Depp, I can’t see why this won’t be an enjoyable film. Plus, the popular rumor sailing the sea is that Orlando Bloom some can see.

With March less than a month away, Logan doesn’t need much more teased. I have never found the Wolverine standalone movies to be that appealing, but this movie changes that sentiment.

Optimus Prime is dying, and Marky Mark is on the case. Transformers: The Last Knight is a thing. Michael Bay has come out and said it’s his last one, it would be nice to see any future Transformer’s movies have a different style and direction.

World of Tanks had two separate commercials parodying the shows your mom/girlfriend/someone you know who watches garbage TV shows, loves. The first one is here and the second one is here. My girlfriend actually laughed when they were on.

Okay, these last two I am going to embed on the page, one because I love Nintendo and the other because… STRANGER THINGS SEASON 2!

This trailer has me wanting to fall asleep for the next month and not waking up until March 3rd. I was already ecstatic about the impending release of the Switch, but this really riled me up once again. I’m hoping that this chunk of ad space on the Super Bowl helps juice up the launch and helps get the Switch off to a successful start.

On a scale of one to ten, my emotions are at an 11. Stranger Things was one of those rare shows that as soon as I started episode 1, I realized that 9 hours had gone by and I still needed to go to the bank and go grocery shopping. Normally on Halloween, since I live in Salem, MA, we have a Halloween party. This year though, it’s probably going to be a Stranger Things season 2 viewing party!
